INTERNALISASI KARAKTER RELIGIUS MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SMP ISLAM BANI HASYIM SINGOSARI MALANG

Abstract

Internalizing religious character through learning Islamic Religious Education is very important in cultivating character in students, including forming attitudes of faith, honesty, discipline and tolerance between others. The focus of this research is as follows: (1) what are the religious character values contained in Islamic Religious Education learning at Bani Hasyim Singosari Islamic Middle School, Malang? (2) How is the internalization of religious character implemented through learning Islamic Religious Education at Bani Hasyim Singosari Islamic Middle School, Malang? (3) What are the results of the internalization of religious character through learning Islamic Religious Education on the behavior of students at Bani Hasyim Singosari Islamic Middle School, Malang. This research was conducted at Bani Hasyim Islamic Middle School on Jalan Perum Persada Bhayangkara, Pagentan Village, Singhasari District, Malang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques in this research are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that: (1) the religious character values contained in Islamic religious education learning include the values of faith and piety, the value of honesty, the value of discipline and the value of tolerance. (2) implementation of internalization of religious character through learning. Through learning Islamic Religious Education, in which students are taught to strengthen their faith and devotion to God, make honesty a principle in interacting with others, respect discipline as an effort to achieve success, and apply the value of tolerance in various life situations. (3) The results of internalizing religious character through learning Islamic Religious Education on student behavior have a positive impact which can develop behavior that reflects the values of faith and piety, honesty, discipline and tolerance.
