PERILAKU DISTORTIF PESERTA DIDIK DARI KELUARGA TIDAK HARMONIS (BROKEN HOME) DI SMPN 13 MALANG

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of broken home families on the distorted behavior of students at SMPN 13 Malang, considering adolescence as a critical transitional period with various physical, emotional, and social changes. Observations indicate that five students from broken home families tend to exhibit deviant behaviors such as being easily offended, difficulty controlling emotions, causing disturbances, lying, and engaging in self-harm. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, involving structured interviews, participatory and covert observations, and documentation. The research location is SMP Negeri 13 Malang in Lowokwaru, Malang. Data analysis includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. The study finds that disharmonious family conditions such as divorce, infidelity, domestic violence, and parental busyness negatively impact the psychological condition of students, leading to physical aggression, oppositional behavior, social withdrawal, and various forms of distorted behavior. These findings underscore the importance of appropriate interventions to support students from nonharmonious families.
