IMPLEMENTASI KEGIATAN ALBANJARI DALAM MENUMBUHKEMBANGKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMP ISLAM TERPADU DAAR EL QUR’AN PAKIS KABUPATEN MALANG

Abstract


This research investigates the development of religious character in students at SMP Islam Terpadu Daar El Qur’an Pakis, Malang, focusing on the role of 'albanjari' activities. It utilizes a qualitative case study approach, employing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The data analysis involved data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity checks through source and data triangulation. The study reveals three main findings: 1) The concept of albanjari activities is centered on nurturing student's interests, talents, and religious values that is devotion to Allah SWT and gratitude, a caring attitude towards others, responsibility, affection for the younger ones and respect for the older ones, aiming to integrate these values into their daily lives. 2) The implementation of albanjari activities occurs every Tuesday from 14:00 to 16:00. These sessions are consistently supervised by activity coordinators who begin with collective prayers, provide motivation, teach about hadrah history, impart knowledge of the Prophet's biography, instill religious values, and conduct warm-up exercises. This approach indirectly fosters the students' religious character. 3) The facilitators and barriers to these activities are identified. Facilitators include infrastructure, teachers, and students, while obstacles arise from some participating students themselves. Overall, the study highlights the effectiveness of albanjari activities in developing religious character among students, emphasizing the importance of consistent guidance and the role of various supporting factors.
