PERAN PERSPEKTIF SEJARAH SEKOLAH DALAM PENERAPAN KARAKTER TOLERANSI DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI 1 MALANG (SMAN 1 MALANG)

Abstract


This study will discuss the role of the history of the establishment of schools in building the character of student tolerance. Each story of the founding of the school has an interesting story to perpetuate. And each of these stories has values that become the basis for school residents to always maintain the sustainability of the school. The values contained in this story are expected to inspire school policies, school curriculum, classroom learning, even when school members interact and communicate with each other. This value becomes a character for all school members. This study discusses the character of tolerance. The character of tolerance is used as a medium in understanding the historical phenomenon of school travel, the historical phenomenon of community reactions to schools. And the absorption of the character of tolerance from the phenomenon of school history and the phenomenon of community reaction. This is important because Indonesia has a diversity of tribes, cultures, and religions. So that the character of tolerance is expected to be the glue for its citizens.
