The main question that we discuss is the strategy of parents in instilling religious character in children in the Kasin sub-village, along the Gondanglegi sub-district, Malang district. The background of this research is the reduced religious character of children in carrying out mandatory worship such as prayer, and low Alqur’an recitation activities, especially among high school students in Kasin Hamlet, Sepanjang Village, Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency. In our research position we explored a hamlet in the village as long as we researched it as the main material for the topic in this research and the way we collected data was by observing, interviewing and documenting. These questions are discussed using qualitative research methods which in this method are not related to numbers and scale calculations. And the main results in this study, that the reduced religious character that was previously conducive is now not condusive among them, especially for parents are the main education for parents where parents are the main education for their children. There for, parents must provide guidance on religious knowledge or religious character to children so that later they can use this knowledge according to their goals.
