Education has a role to develop the various potentials of students and the educational process is not only directed to explore and develop the potential that exists in students, but also to provide and develop the religious character of the student by religious activity . The teacher has an important role because, the main task of a teacher is to interact directly by the process of student development on make student have religious character. MA Roudlotul Banat Sidoarjo is one of the schools that uses a religious character building strategy in school to build student religious character. This research is a case study research, using observational research methods, unstructured interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are planning a strategy for building religious character by religious activity like pray before starting activity, reading asmaul husna, shalat dhuha and dhuhur together, reading Al-Quran and managing student behavior. The implementation of the strategy of building religious character is carried out, namely the teacher carries out learning according to the strategy that have been planned before, and then that strategy are applied to student with making habit with religious activity. Evaluation of building religious character strategies in the form of observations of student participation, or small research projects. The assessment carried out in this evaluation is in the form of students' understanding of the material, skills acquired, attitudes and values formed, as well as students' spiritual development.
