STRATEGI GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENCEGAH TUMBUHNYA RADIKALISME DI MA DARULLUGHAH WADDA’WAH DI DESA RACI KEC. BANGIL KAB. PASURUAN
Abstract
Islamic education plays a crucial role in preventing the growth of radicalism, but Islamic education teachers face several challenges such as lack of understanding, shortage of relevant teaching materials, and lack of education and training to address these issues. The research questions are: (1) How do Islamic education teachers plan to prevent radicalism at MA Darullughah Wadda'wah? (2) What are Islamic education teachers' strategies in preventing radicalism growth at MA Darullughah Wadda'wah? (3) What are the obstacles and solutions in implementing Islamic education teacher's strategies to prevent the growth of radicalism at MA Darullughah Wadda'wah? The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation from informants such as school principals, vice principals, Islamic education teachers, and students at MA Darullughah Wadda’wah. The research stages include pre-fieldwork, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting of research results, followed by data validation. The research concludes that Islamic education teachers have a significant role to play in preventing radicalism among students at MA Darullughah Wadda'wah. To prevent radicalism, teachers must pay attention to students' understanding, promote moderate understanding of Islam, identify potentially influenced students, work with school staff and parents, and regularly evaluate prevention programs.
