MODEL PENDIDIKAN MULTIKULTURAL DI SMA NEGERI 5 MALANG
Abstract
SMA Negeri 5 Malang. Second, to describe how to implement the multicultural
education model in SMA Negeri 5 Malang. The third is to describe the supporting and
inhibiting factors of the multicultural education model at SMA Negeri 5 Malang. This
type of research is case study research. Data collection techniques using observation,
interviews and documentation. The data validation technique uses source
triangulation, reviewer adequacy and research attendance. The conclusion of this
study is that the condition of students at SMAN 5 Malang highly respects the existence
of tolerance for differences between races, ethnicities and religions. Multicultural
education at SMAN 5 has instilled values, such as the value of equal rights, the value of
justice, the value of brotherhood and the value of respect and the value of tolerance.
The portrait of multicultural education at SMAN 5 Malang emphasizes tolerance
between races, ethnicities and religions. Learning multicultural education at SMAN 5
Malang is implemented in a cooperative-based way to practice tolerance and harmony
when discussing. The teacher conveys material related to diversity so that students
know and apply it in everyday life. Balanced treatment and policies for all school
communities appreciating culture as a form of respecting diversity
