PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA MELALUI KEGIATAN KEAGAMAAN DI SMP BRAWIJAYA SMART SCHOOL MALANG
Abstract
seeks to form a person who is humble, courageous in the sense that he really has the
guts to stand up for what is considered right and responsible, and certain. One of
them is character education, which educators can develop, especially through
religiously based moral principles. This research discusses the formation of
students' religious character through religious activities, this research study is
motivated by the low religious character of students at school. So with the hope that
students who take part in routine religious activities at school will form a good
religious character of students in their lives. The focus research described in this
study aims to find out what are the programs of religious activities at SMP Brawijaya
smart school Malang, how are the efforts of PAI teachers to shape the religious
character of students in SMP Brawijaya smart school Malang, what are the impacts
of religious activities in shaping religious character students at SMP Brawijaya
Smart School Malang. The approach used in this research is qualitative and a type of
case study research. The researcher reveals the situation regarding the formation of
students' religious character through religious activities at SMP Brawijaya Smart
School Malang. For data collection techniques researchers used three methods,
namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of this
study, the researchers found that religious activities carried out at SMP Brawijaya
smart School Malang to shape the religious character of students, namely reading
Asmaul-Husna, Dhuha prayers in congregation, midday prayers in congregation and
Asr in congregation, and reading the Qur'an. The PAI teacher's efforts in forming the
religious character of students in religious activities are applying good example
methods, PAI teachers applying supervision methods, PAI teachers applying
sanctions or punishment methods, then PAI teachers providing advice and
motivation methods to students. The impact that occurs on the religious character
of students after participating in religious activities is the formation of students who
have religious habituation, the formation of students who have an attitude of love
for the environment and courtesy, the formation of students having a disciplined
attitude in worship, and the formation of attitudes and behavior of students who
care for each other and help each other. fellow
