PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN SPIRITUAL SISWA DI SMA AL-ISLAM KRIAN SIDOARJO

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the role of the PAI teacher in helping and developing students in recognizing and managing emotions and the quality of life that is inspired by the vision and values in students at Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo High School and to know the evaluation of the role of the PAI teacher in helping and developing emotional and spiritual intelligence and the role of PAI teachers in evaluating students in the development of emotional and spiritual intelligence in students at SMA Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo. This type of research uses qualitative research methods and is a case study research type, so that data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation of the parties involved in the research. The data analysis used was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing verification. The results showed that Islamic Education teachers were able to develop students' emotional and spiritual intelligence, not only providing material, PAI teachers also provided exemplary learning, empathy, guiding students to always participate in school activities such as prayer dhuha and dhuhur congregation, BBQ, Mabit, and many more. again the efforts of PAI teachers in developing the emotional and spiritual intelligence of students at SMA Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo
