PERAN GURU SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM (SKI) DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER KEPEMIMPINAN SISWA KELAS VII MTsN KOTA BATU

Teachers have various roles. Teachers can act as motivational givers, facilitators, mentors, and shapers of student character. One of the characters can be formed is the leadership character. The teacher in carrying out his role requires an approach as a form of treatment of learning objects. Method as a means of students to obtain information. The strategy is the steps of implementing learning. The method used in this research is qualitative method. This method explains how the approaches, methods and strategies used by SKI teachers in shaping the leadership character in students. This type of research is case study. Case studies are used to collect information through interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of research on class VII SKI learning at MTsN Kota Batu, that the approach used is a contextual approach. This approach leads to associating material with students' real lives. The leadership character is formed is independence. While the method used is lecture, question and answer and discussion. The use of these methods can form the character of maker, mutual cooperation and empathy. The strategy used by SKI teachers is the Problem Based Learning strategy. The leadership character is formed independent, creative and innovative.
