PERAN PEMBIASAAN MEMBACA SURAT YASIN DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMP WAHID HASYIM MALANG

Abstract

Wahid Hasyim Malang Junior High School, which is a junior high school of formal education that implements educational institutions with Islamic characteristics by upholding the teachings of Ahlusunnah-Wal jama'ah. Making the role of the Quran as a forum in an effort to form a religious character in students at Wahid Malang Junior High School, namely by carrying out habituation activities, one of which is through reading the Yasin surah, Fokus research: 1) How is the implementation of the activity of reading the letter Yasin shaping  the religious character of students at Wahid Hasyim Junior High School Malang? 2)  What are the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in shaping the religious character of students towards the role of habituation to reading Yasin's letter at Wahid Hasyim Junior High School Malang? 3) What is the result of the habituation of reading Yasin's letter in shaping the religious character of students at Wahid Hasyim Junior High School Malang? This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, types of case study research at SMP Wahid Hasyim Malang, data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis using data collection, condensing data, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of data using credibility, transferability, dependency and confirmability tests.  The results obtained in this  study  are 1) Yasin  letter reading activities occurred since the passing of the  PTMT  system after covid-19 so that the implementation of this activity became routine by  schools  conducted in their respective  classes after  prayers 2) supporting factors:  the role of  teachers, student activity  and the application of 3S.    inhibiting factors:  lack of  awareness in  students, lack of student discipline, lack of   parental  guidance 3) Religiouscharacter that has been formed through the habitual role of reading Yasin's letter at Wahid Hasyim Junior High School Malang.  Ingeneral, it has shown that there are results and benefits felt for students, schools, communities, and teachers' expectations regarding the habituation of reading Yasin's letter that has been carried out at Wahid Hasyim Junior High School Malang.
