Abstract
Discipline is obedience to be respected and implemented by the rules that apply in schools. The school is a forum to gain knowledge, therefore the discipline applied in the Al Akbar Singosari Junior High School is also the most important..factor in meeting and improving the quality of students. So as to make the school disciplined, creating good conditions, comfortable, peaceful and orderly. The success of the school in achieving educational goals that have been determined by the success of the principal in creating discipline at Al Akbar Singosari Junior High School this research shows that: First, the concept of the principal in shaping student discipline at Al Akbar Singosari Islamic Junior High School is the application of routine activities and educational punishments. Second, the steps taken by the principal's strategy in improving the discipline of students at Al Akbar Singosari Islamic Junior High School are to implement routine activities such as congregational dhuha prayers and blank examination requirements, and the application of punishments such as reading yasin letters, writing sholawat, memorizing short letters, and almsgiving of the Qur'an. Third, there are two factors that influence the principal's strategy in improving student discipline at Al Akbar Singosari Islamic Junior High School, namely two factors, namely: Supporting factors include the spirit of educators in reminding and guiding their students. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include: lack of motivation from educators and students themselves which causes laziness, the adaptation period from the transition of the online to offline learning system, and the existence of miscommunication with guardian parents.
