KEPIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENANGKAL RADIKALISME DI MTs AL MA’ARIF JEMBER
Abstract
Islamic radicalism has become a topic that is often discussed in various parts of the world at the beginning of the 21st century. After a long silence, the Soviet Union withdrew from Afghanistan at the end of 1979, now the international community is facing the reality of the emergence of a new threat in the form of theoretical violence which is strongly suspected to involve radical Islamic groups. In addition, there are also many violent Islamic movements, fundamentalism and others. In addition, there are also many violent Islamic movements, fundamentalism and others. In today's world Islam is also considered a religion that brings justice and peace. Islam is also considered a religion that brings radicalism as well as terrorism, conflict and division. Moreover, there are also various understandings of Islamophobia that think Islam is a scary teaching. In this case, it shows that Islam is a teaching that leans towards peace and that Islam is a religion that is rahmatan lil alamin, not just divisive and creating long-lasting conflicts. In this case, it shows that Islam is a teaching that leans towards peace and Islam is a religion that is rahmatan lil alamin instead of dividing and causing prolonged conflict. One of the factors that contribute to the understanding and action of radicalism in Indonesia is education. Madrasas do not teach radical Islam and Islam of terror at all, but Islamic education that is rahmatan lil alamin, and strengthens the role of Islamic educational institutions, madrasas as fortresses are expected to be able to overcome radicalism and terrorism in Indonesia. Because the teaching of Islam in madrasas can eliminate the phenomenon of radicalism and terrorism in the name of religion. So, in order to prevent radicalism among students, of course, harmonious cooperation from the Principal with Islamic religious education teachers in schools and also several related parties is needed.
