KINERJA GURU PAI DALAM MENGATASI KENAKALAN REMAJA DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA PGRI PUJON

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the forms of juvenile delinquency that occur in SMP PGRI Pujon; (2) the performance of PAI teachers as directors in overcoming them; (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors of PAI teachers in overcoming juvenile delinquency in SMP PGRI Pujon. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study type with a descriptive approach which takes place at SMP PGRI Pujon from May 5 to June 16, 2021. The subject of the study is an Islamic Education teacher. The data collection technique used the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data validity technique uses observational persistence, triangulation of methods and sources and also uses peer checking through discussion. The results of the study (1) are forms of delinquency, namely bullying, courtship, theft, drinking liquor, violation of rules, motorcycle speeding. (2) the performance of PAI teachers in overcoming them by making three efforts, namely, preventive, curative, and coaching efforts. (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors for PAI teachers in carrying out their efforts, the supporting factors consisting of the school environment are the presence of colleagues, facilities and infrastructure that can be utilized, the existence of extracurricular activities. The inhibiting factors consist of a lack of parental attention and a poor community environment.
