ANALISIS ELASTISITAS PERMINTAAN IKAN RUMAH TANGGA DI INDONESIA
Abstract
Fish is an important source of animal protein for Indonesian households and contributes to improving nutrition and food security. However, fish consumption is influenced by economic factors such as food prices, household expenditure, and demographic characteristics. This study aims to analyze the determinants of household fish demand in Indonesia and estimate price elasticity, cross elasticity, and expenditure elasticity of fish consumption. The study employs a quantitative approach using a double log-linear regression model with data from the National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) 2024. The dependent variable is household fish demand, while independent variables include fish price, prices of several food commodities, household expenditure, and number of household members. The results show that the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.2498, indicating that 24.98% of the variation in fish demand is explained by the model. The F-test result (F = 2.565; p-value = 0.009881) indicates a significant joint effect. Price elasticity is 0.23492 (inelastic). Cross elasticity shows beef and tofu as substitutes, while eggs and tempeh are complementary goods. Expenditure elasticity is 0.09971, indicating fish is a normal but inelastic good.
