Perbandingan Produktivitas Petani Pengguna Varietas NK Perkasa dan NK 212

Abstract


AbstractThis study was motivated by the differing perceptions among farmers regarding the productivity of two leading hybrid maize varieties, NK Perkasa and NK 212, in Blimbinggede Village, Ngraho Sub-district, Bojonegoro Regency. The objective of this research was to objectively analyze the productivity differences between the two varieties. A quantitative approach was employed using the Independent Sample t-test method. A total of 101 farmers were selected through proportional stratified random sampling from the population of NK Perkasa and NK 212 users. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from village records and relevant literature. The results revealed a statistically significant difference in productivity between the two groups. The average productivity of NK 212 was 4,814.27 kg/ha, which was higher than NK Perkasa's 4,075.09 kg/ha, with a significance value of 0.000 (α < 0.05). These findings indicate that NK 212 is more adaptive to local agro-climatic conditions and simple farming systems. The study concludes that NK 212 is a more productive and suitable variety for farmers in the research area.Keywords: hybrid maize, productivity, seed variety
