MODEL KELEMBAGAAN AGRIBISNIS ALPUKAT PAMELING DAN PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN PADA PT. PAMELING AGRO NUSANTARA

Agribusiness institutions are very important in supporting the increase in productivity and welfare of farmers. There are still few studies that discuss the agribusiness institutional model and the influence of the role of extension workers on income. This study aims to determine (1) the institutional model of pameling avocado agribusiness at PT. Pameling Agro Nusantara and (2) the influence of the role of extension workers on farmer income through the development of farmer groups as a mediating variable. The determination of the research location was done intentionally, namely at PT. Pameling Agro Nusantara located in Wonorejo Village. The approach used is descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique for the first objective used key informants and the second objective used a purposive sampling method, namely 130 farmers. The results of the first objective study show that the agribusiness institutional model is divided into four subsystems, namely: (1) Upstream Subsystem consisting of PT. Pameling Agro Nusantara and cooperatives providing production facilities; (2) Farming Subsystem in the form of four active farmer groups; (3) Downstream Subsystem through cooperative partnerships with PT. Pameling Agro Nusantara and research institutions; and (4) Supporting Services Subsystems which include financial institutions, extension services, and forestry institutions. The results of the SEM analysis show that the role of extension workers as disseminators, facilitators, and supervisors has a significant influence on farmer income through the development of farmer groups, while the roles of educators, consultants, and evaluators do not show a significant influence.
