Abstract

The increase in rice demand every year also increases the demand for rice seeds. Seeds have a very crucial role in agriculture, so that the state of the seedling reflects the progress of the agricultural sector in a country. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of a ready-to-plant rice seed business in Gampengrejo District. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. This research was conducted in Gampengrejo District, Kediri Regency. The selection of locations for the study was taken intentionally (purposive sampling). And using a sampling technique that involves all members of the population as samples or known as the census technique. The data analysis method uses cost analysis, revenue, income, and R/C ratio. The results showed that the total cost was Rp. 106,295,458. The amount of production produced was 17,400 rolls with a selling price of Rp. 10,000 per roll. The income obtained was Rp. 174,000,000, so the income obtained was Rp. 67,704,542. The R/C ratio is 1.64, so it can be concluded that the ready-to-plant rice seed business is feasible to be continued and developed.
