ANALISIS EFISIENSI USAHATANI DAN EFISIENSI SALURAN PEMASARAN CABAI MERAH DI DESA NGEBRUK KECAMATAN PONCOKUSUMO

Abstract

It is possible that red chili is a strategic commodity for the government, because red chili is very much needed for household needs. However, on the other hand, the red chili harvest in Malang Regency in 2021-2022 has decreased a lot, especially in Poncokusumo District, red chili production has decreased drastically in 2022 and in its distribution efforts, red chili has challenges in long marketing channels and the price of this commodity is determined by collectors so that the margin obtained by farmers to consumers is very high. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of farming in Poncokusumo District, especially in Ngebruk Village, Poncokusumo District, and to determine the efficiency of marketing channels in Ngebruk Village, Poncokusumo District. This research was conducted in March 2025, this research approach used a quantitative descriptive approach, with a sampling method using simple random sampling and snowball sampling, the acquisition of respondents was calculated using the Slovin formula which was taken from 15% of the population so that 44 respondents were obtained. The analysis used is a simple analysis using the R/C ratio. The results of this study indicate that the R/C ratio obtained is 5.06, which indicates that the production of red chili is an efficient farming business, there are two marketing channels, marketing channel I, namely from farmers to collectors then through retailers and ending at consumers and in marketing channel II, namely farmers sell directly to retailers and from retailers directly to end consumers, the farmer's share obtained in marketing channel I is 74.54%, in marketing channel II it is 81.89%.
