Abstrak

The success of a farming business can be formed by the management that runs the business. Management is very important when running a farming business because it has a direct impact on the farming business, so that when running a farming business it can make maximum profits consistently by using existing resources with a minimal budget but very effectively and efficiently. Among the commodities that are currently being observed is the purple eggplant commodity. The following research aims to analyze the production costs and income levels of young farmers in Sumberejo Village, Batu District, Batu City. The population used for the research was farmers aged 20-35 years totaling 135 farmers in Sumberejo Village. The sample used for the research used the Stratified Random Sampling technique totaling 50 people. The analysis method includes cost analysis, revenue, income, and R/C ratio. The results of the study showed that the average cost used per young farmer in purple eggplant farming was IDR 1,928,500 in the following details: investment costs of IDR 636,500 and variable costs of IDR 1,292,000. The results of purple eggplant farming usually earn Rp 8,630,300 per farmer with an average income of Rp 6,701,800 per farmer. The calculation of the R/C ratio is 4.48 so that purple eggplant farming in Sumberejo Village is feasible to be pursued.
