KARAKTERISTIK PETANI SINGKONG DAN AGROINDUSTRI KERIPIK SINGKONG DI DESA GADING KEMBAR KECAMATAN JABUNG KABUPATEN MALANG

Cassava as an alternative food ingredient in various utilizations, one of which is processed cassava chips. The objectives of this study are 1) Knowing the characteristics of cassava farmers, 2) Knowing the characteristics of cassava chips agro-industry. Gading Kembar Village was purposively selected as the research location from January to February 2025. Sampling of farmers was carried out with a census sampling method of 10 people, for the determination of the cassava chip agro-industry sample was carried out by purposive sampling. The analysis method carried out for the first and second objectives is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of cassava farmers in Gading Kembar Village are male, in the age range of 51-60 years, farming experience of 10 to 30 years, having an average land area of 1.67 Ha with self-owned land status. The main occupation is as a cassava farmer with an income of less than Rp10,000,000/month and a maximum family size of four people. The level of education (elementary school) and cassava farmers all use sticky cassava from their own gardens. Inputs used include land, seeds, manure, urea fertilizer, ZA fertilizer, phonska fertilizer, herbicides, and labour. Rakhim Agroindustry has processed cassava into cassava chips since 2017 with a production capacity of 500 kg by producing an output of 200 kg of cassava chips per one production.
