Abstract

Farming is a way to determine, organize, and coordinate the use of production factors as effectively and efficiently as possible so that the business provides maximum income so that it can increase the efficiency of input use and increase income. This study aims to 1) Analyze the efficiency of corn farming. 2) Analyze the factors that influence corn farming production. The study was conducted in Jatirejo Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency, East Java. The sample determination used simple random sampling of 37 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, R/C ratio and Cobb-Douglas function. The results of the study showed that 1) Corn farming is profitable and efficient, indicated by the income of corn farmers of Rp. 17,399,431/Ha/MT and an R/C ratio of 1.8. 2) Factors that influence corn farming are seeds, fertilizers including (urea, phonska) labor. While the area of land and pesticides (Kalaris, buldok) are not significant because they do not affect corn production.
