Abstract

Corn is the second largest commodity after rice which has the highest level of productivity. In the procurement of these production inputs, farmers are still experiencing various kinds of problems, the high prices of production inputs such as fertilizers, seeds and medicines are a big problem for those who have an average scale of production, small farm. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of production inputs on land area, seeds, fertilizers, and labor, to determine the level of optimization of the use of production inputs and to determine the efficiency level of hybrid corn farming. The research was conducted in Martopuro Village, Purwosari District, Pasuruan Regency. shows that on average hybrid corn farming, because the average R/C ratio value is > 1, so that for every Rp. 1 spent by farmers, they will receive a profit of Rp. 2.1The selection of research locations was carried out purposively. The method used and data analysis is a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods and a sample of 40 farmer respondents was obtained. Sampling was carried out by simple random sampling, that is, sampling from the population was carried out randomly without regard to the strata in the population. The results of the analysis of optimizing the use of hybrid corn production inputs show an estimated land use of 22.44 with a result of more than 1, so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to increase the land area allocation to 19.94 ha. The estimated use of seeds is 6.14 with a yield of more than 1 so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add corn seeds to 8.92 kg per hectare. The estimated use of manure is 4.55 with a yield of more than 1, so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add 10.35 kg of manure per hectare. The estimated use of Phonska fertilizer input is 15.39 with a yield of more than 1 so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add fertilizer of 9.89 per hectare. The estimated use of urea fertilizer input is 17.47 with a yield of more than 1 so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add fertilizer of 8.97 per hectare. The estimated use of pesticides is 29.07 with a yield of more than 1 so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add 5.12 liters of medication per hectare. The estimated use of labor input is 22.14 with a result of more than 1 so it is not optimal, so it is necessary to add 7 workers per hectare. The dummy variable estimate is 0.1 > .
