ANALISIS KEPUTUSAN PETANI DALAM BERUSAHATANI BAWANG MERAH DI DESA BANJARSAWAH KECAMATAN TEGALSIWALAN KABUPATEN PROBOLINGGO (Studi Kasus : Desa Banjarsawah, Kecamatan Tegalsiwalan, Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur)

Abstract

Abstract Probolinggo Regency is one of the shallot producing areas. Precisely in Banjarsawah Village, Tegalsiwalan District, Probolinggo Regency. The red onion production of Probolinggo Regency has its own characteristics, namely a spicy character with a unique water content. BPS data shows that production in 2019 was 142,665 tons, in 2020 it was 145,605 tons, and in 2021 it was 105,010 tons. Judging from this data, there is a decline in production output in 2021. With this problem, this is interesting to research. The aim is to determine the efficiency of shallot farming and determine the factors that influence decisions on shallot farming in Banjarsawah Village, Tegalsiwalan District, Probolinggo Regency. Location determination was carried out purposively by taking research samples using the random sampling method. To determine the number of samples using the sloving formula method, a total of 40 farmers were found from a population of 260 farmers. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection was obtained from interviews, observations, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by means of farming analysis to determine farming efficiency and logit analysis to determine the factors that influence decisions on shallot farming. Based on analytical calculations of shallot farming, the R/C ratio value is 3.32, where this value is greater than 1, which means that shallot farming in Banjarsawah Village is efficient and worth pursuing. Factors that significantly influence decision making are the level of cultivation difficulty and income, while factors that do not have a significant influence are participation in farming groups, experience and education.
