STRATEGI SEKOLAH DALAM PENGUATAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Religious character is one of the important values that need to be instilled since elementary school age to form students with noble character and able to apply religious values in everyday life. This study aims to describe the school's strategy in strengthening students' religious character, identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and analyze the impact of the strategy on students at Mohammad Hatta Islamic Elementary School, Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for student affairs, religious coordinator, teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman interactive model, which consists of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the strategy for strengthening religious character is carried out through various religious habituation programs, such as the 5S culture (smile, greeting, greeting, politeness, courtesy), reading Juz Amma and morning dhikr, congregational Dhuha and Dhuhur prayers, learning the Qur'an using the Wafa method, infaq, Fiqhun Nisa' and Fiqhun Rijal, the Mobile Tadarus (Darling) program, Halimul Madrasah and the commemoration of Islamic holidays (PHBI). Supporting factors include the commitment of all school members, parental support, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and a religious school culture. Inhibiting factors include differences in parenting patterns, the influence of the environment outside the school and technological developments. This strategy has a positive impact on improving students' worship habits, discipline, responsibility, ability to read the Qur'an, social awareness, and religious understanding. Thus, the strategy implemented by the school has succeeded in forming students' religious character in a sustainable manner through positive habits and school culture.
