MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT BERBANTUAN QUIZIZZ DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


A This study was conducted to address the need for innovative learning strategies that can enhance students’ motivation in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. While previous studies have examined the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model and Quizizz separately, limited research has investigated the integration of TGT with Quizizz to improve learning motivation. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the level of mathematics learning motivation of fifth-grade students after the implementation of the TGT learning model assisted by Quizizz and to determine its effect on students’ learning motivation. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants consisted of 44 fifth-grade students of SD Islam Bani Hasyim Singosari Malang, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 22 students. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and an Independent Sample T-Test. The results revealed that the experimental class achieved a post-questionnaire mean score of 97.14, categorized as very high motivation. Furthermore, the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.029 (< 0.05), indicating that the TGT learning model assisted by Quizizz had a significant effect on students’ mathematics learning motivation. These findings suggest that integrating cooperative learning with gamified assessment can effectively enhance students’ learning motivation in mathematics.
