PEMANFAATAN MEDIA DIGITAL SMART TV DALAM MENDUKUNG LITERASI DIGITAL DAN TRANSFORMASI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS IV DI MIN 2 KOTA MALANG

Abstract


This study investigates the utilization of digital media, specifically smart TV, in supporting digital literacy and transforming mathematics learning in Grade IV at MIN 2 Kota Malang. The study is grounded in the urgency to integrate technology into primary education to meet 21st-century learning demands. Digital literacy and meaningful mathematics instruction require visual, interactive, and contextualized learning tools, especially for abstract mathematical concepts. This qualitative case study collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving mathematics teachers, students, and school administrators. The findings reveal that smart TV is systematically integrated into lesson planning, learning delivery, and evaluation. Teachers use PowerPoint presentations, interactive quizzes, educational videos, and visual worksheets designed with applications like canva, all displayed via smart TV. This approach fosters student engagement, enhances understanding of complex concepts, and encourages active participation. Moreover, smart TV contributes to students' digital literacy development by promoting critical thinking, collaboration, and responsible technology use. The school's support, teacher creativity, and student enthusiasm form a dynamic ecosystem that facilitates the digital transformation of mathematics instruction. This research contributes to the growing discourse on digital education by providing practical insights into how smart TV can be utilized as an effective learning medium at the primary level. It also offers a replicable model for other schools seeking to enhance learning through digital integration.
