IMPLEMENTASI METODE THORIQOTI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BACA QUR'AN DI SEKOLAH DASAR BRAWIJAYA SMART SCHOOL MALANG

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and impact of the Thoriqoti method in improving Quran reading skills at Brawijaya Smart School Elementary School, Malang. The research employed a descriptive qualitative case study through observation, interviews with principals, teachers, and students, as well as documentation analysis. Findings show that the planning of the Thoriqoti method was systematic, including teacher training, curriculum adjustment, provision of guidebooks (volumes 1–6), and regular evaluations. Implementation emphasized tartil reading, correct makhraj, tajweed application, and interactive strategies through classical, listening, and small-group methods. Teachers acted as facilitators to encourage active participation. The method significantly improved students’ Quran reading accuracy, fluency, and understanding of tajweed, showing that the Thoriqoti method is effective and adaptive for multicultural elementary school contexts.
