KETERAMPILAN GURU DALAM PEMBERIAN VARIASI MENGAJAR PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS IV DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The ability to provide variation is a basic skill that teachers need to have in order to create a learning environment that draws attention so that students are active and engaged in every step of the process. Based on initial observations, the fourth-grade teacher at SDN Merjosari 02, especially in mathematics learning, shows that the teacher has implemented variations in the learning process. It can be seen from the learning process that active teachers provide variations in teaching such as teaching styles, choosing learning media that use concrete objects such as pens, boxes/cardboards, tables, lunch boxes, drinking bottles, rulers and also interaction patterns, namely actions carried out by teachers with students. such as questions and answers, reflecting on material, ice breaking to reduce boredom, boredom and attracting students' attention. The researcher created the problem, which concerns the teacher's capacity to offer teaching variations in class IV mathematics learning as well as the difficulties instructors encounter in carrying out their duties successfully, based on the previously described research background. The purpose of this study is to examine how well instructors are able to provide variations in fourth-grade arithmetic instruction and to identify the challenges that teachers have in creating such variations. The research was conducted utilizing a qualitative case study methodology in order to accomplish the aforementioned goals. The observation method, which is a systematic phenomenon research activity, the interview method, which is a verbal question-and-answer session with research sources, and the documentation method, which is looking for information about things or variables in the form of notes, transcripts, books, reports, agendas, and so forth, were used in the data collection procedure.
