STRATEGI GURU DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PEDULI SOSIAL SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

The aim of this research is to provide a detailed description of; 1) students' social caring character in learning science in class IV-B MI Islamiyah Kebonsari, 2) teacher strategies in forming students' social caring character in learning science and science in class IV-B MI Islamiyah Kebonsari, 3) supporting and inhibiting factors in forming caring character students' social studies in science and science learning in class IV-B MI Islamiyah Kebonsari. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data collection techniques use observation, structured interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity by conducting prolonged observations, detailed interviews, discussions with peers, and triangulation. The research results show that; 1) the social care character of class IV-B students in science learning is quite good. 2) The strategy employed by the teacher to shape the social caring traits of the students in class IV-B, in science learning is by designing open modules, integrating social care character in learning materials, designing interactive learning methods, and role models in everyday life. 3) internal supporting factors include teachers understanding how to implement character education, adequate school facilities and infrastructure, school programs that support character formation (Promaris), external supporting factors include the involvement of people around them, namely parents and the community, while inhibiting factors include the use of gadgets without supervision, and parents do not supervise their children in their daily lives.
