PENGARUH METODE DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KEAKTIFAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS 5 SD NEGERI 02 TUREN KABUPATEN MALANG

Abstract

This research is motivated by student phenomena regarding conventional learning methods which make students less active. In this case the researcher wanted to examine the problem of learning methods with the active learning of students at SD Negeri 02 Turen, Malang Regency. This study aims to: (1) Describe the Discovery Learning method in learning in grade 5 SD Negeri 02 Turen Malang Regency. (2) Describe the activeness of students in learning in grade 5 SD Negeri 02 Turen Malang Regency. (3) Knowing the effect of the Discovery Learning method on the learning activeness of grade 5 students at SD Negeri 02 Turen, Malang Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of research is Quasi-Experimental. The research subjects consisted of 36 students consisting of 18 students in class 5B (control class) and 18 students in class 5A (experimental class). Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of the t test show the sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which is 0.008. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the activeness of students in the experimental class and the control class.
