STRATEGI KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM PENERAPAN BUDAYA ISLAMI DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH DARUL ULUM KOTA BATU

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy used by the head of the madrasa in implementing Islamic culture at MI Darul Ulum. The head of the madrasa as a leader has full responsibility for providing education, managing educational institutions, developing other education personnel, maintaining infrastructure, and as a supervisor, namely the driving force in the implementation of education and learning in madrasas. To carry out these responsibilities the madrasa head has a strategy as the ability in his leadership to make decisions to improve the quality of the madrasa. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Researchers act as instruments as well as data collection. The research subjects were the head of the madrasa and teachers. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that basically the headmaster of the madrasa has several strategies that are used in implementing Islamic culture. The strategy for implementing Islamic culture has Islamic values that are developed in madrasas and instilled in students. The author sees that at MI Darul Ulum applying Islamic culture as a form of habituation activities carried out by all madrasah residents such as Islamic dress, congregational prayers, recitation of the Qur'an, spreading ukhuwah, commemorating Islamic holidays, and hajj rituals. To support the application of Islamic culture in madrasas, provide adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, in the application of Islamic culture there are also several obstacles, one of which is the most prominent obstacle, namely students who do not follow the rules.
