PENGARUH METODE MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII DI MTS AL-MA'ARIF 01 SINGOSARI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN QOWAID NAHWU

Learning qawāʿid nahwu is an essential component of Arabic language education because it enables students to understand grammatical structures and construct correct Arabic sentences. However, seventh-grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif 01 Singosari encountered difficulties in learning jumlah ismiyah, particularly in identifying mubtada’ and khabar, resulting in low learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Make A Match method on students’ learning outcomes in qawāʿid nahwu on the topic of jumlah ismiyah. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 60 students selected through purposive sampling, including Class VII-A as the experimental group and Class VII-B as the control group. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and documentation and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, and the Paired Sample t-Test with IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results indicated that the experimental group's mean score increased from 47.33 on the pretest to 78.27 on the posttest, whereas the control group's mean score increased from 49.43 to 54.80. Hypothesis testing produced a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between students' pretest and posttest scores. These findings demonstrate that the Make A Match method effectively improves students’ learning outcomes in qawāʿid nahwu on the topic of jumlah ismiyah. The method also promotes active participation, collaboration, and meaningful learning, making it a suitable instructional alternative for Arabic language teaching at the junior secondary level.
