HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHARAH KALAM MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN BAHASA ARAB UNIVERSITAS ISLAM MALANG

Abstract
Learning motivation is considered one of the factors that may influence students' learning outcomes. In Arabic language learning, particularly Maharah Kalam (speaking skill), motivation plays an important role in encouraging students to participate actively in learning activities and improve their speaking ability. However, learning outcomes may also be influenced by various other factors. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of students' learning motivation, the level of Maharah Kalam learning outcomes, and the relationship between learning motivation and Maharah Kalam learning outcomes among students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Universitas Islam Malang. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 43 students selected from the Arabic Language Education Study Program. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and documentation of Maharah Kalam learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman Rank correlation with the assistance of SPSS. The findings revealed that students' learning motivation was generally high, with 30 students (69.77%) classified as having high motivation and 13 students (30.23%) as having very high motivation. The Maharah Kalam learning outcomes were also very good, with 38 students (88.37%) obtaining grade A and 5 students (11.63%) obtaining grade B. The Spearman Rank correlation analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.106 with a significance value of 0.499 (p > 0.05). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) was accepted, indicating that there was no significant relationship between learning motivation and Maharah Kalam learning outcomes. These findings suggest that Maharah Kalam learning outcomes are likely influenced by factors other than learning motivation.
