Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mufrodat skills of students as indicated by difficulties in understanding and remembering Arabic vocabulary as well as the sub-optimal use of interactive learning media. This study aims to determine the application of Matching Card game media and its effectiveness on the mufrodat skills of class IV B students at MI An-Nashr Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design type using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consists of 26 students. Data collection techniques use tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, normality tests, Paired Sample t-Test, and N-Gain tests with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that the use of Matching Card game media can improve students' mufrodat skills. This is indicated by an increase in the students' average score from 42.50 in the pre-test to 83.85 in the post-test. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test showed a t value = -13.304 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) < 0.001, so there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. In addition, the N-Gain test results showed a value of 0.7181 or 71.81% which is included in the high category. Based on these results, Matching Card game media is declared effective for improving the mufrodat skills of class IV B students at MI An-Nashr Malang.
