PENGGUNAAN MEDIA WHEEL OF ARABIC DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MAHARAH KITABAH SISWA MAN 02 KOTA MALANG

Abstract

Maharah kitabah (writing skills) is one of the important skills in learning Arabic, aiming to train students to express ideas, thoughts, and information in written Arabic accurately. However, in the learning process at MAN 02 Kota Malang, several obstacles are still found, including students experiencing difficulty in starting writing, finding ideas, and using Arabic vocabulary correctly. In addition, the use of less varied and less interesting learning media also leads to low motivation and student engagement in maharah kitabah learning. This research aims to describe how the implementation of Arabic wheel media in Maharah Kitabah learning and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research subjects are Arabic language teachers and 11 G th-grade students directly involved in the learning process. The research results show that the use of Arabic wheel media consists of planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, which resulted in students being more active and showing improvement. The use of Arabic wheel media proved capable of increasing student motivation and engagement in learning, making it easier for students to find ideas and vocabulary when writing, and helping to reduce students' difficulties in starting writing. In addition, this media also creates a more varied learning atmosphere and supports collaborative learning. However, the use of this media also has some limitations, such as requiring a longer implementation time, difficulty in individually assessing students' writing abilities, and group writing results that do not fully reflect individual student abilities.
