Learning Arabic in elementary school is not new in the world of education in Indonesia. However, learners believe that Arabic is a difficult subject and find it difficult to memorize new vocabulary in Arabic, because the pronunciation is very difficult and they are not used to it. Vocabulary is the set of words that humans use orally and in writing that have a meaning and translation statement without being paired with others and arranged on the letters of the dictionary. This study aims to describe the application of flashcards in Arabic language learning at SDI Lukman Hakim. The background of this study is based on the lack of visual media applied in the institution and the importance of using interesting and interactive learning media to increase students' interest and understanding in learning Arabic from an early age. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with Arabic teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. The results of the study show that flashcards are used as a visual aid to introduce vocabulary to students. The use of flashcards was able to attract students' interest in the learning process, facilitate understanding of vocabulary meanings, and create a pleasant learning atmosphere. However, several obstacles were also found, such as time constraints and varying levels of student understanding. Thus, in general, flashcards are effective in Arabic language learning at SDI Lukman Hakim.
