EFEKTIVITAS METODE MIND MAPPING DALAM MELATIH KEMAMPUAN MAHAROH KITABAH SISWA MADIN ASSA’IDIYYAH

Abstract

 

This study aims to examine the implementation of the mind mapping method in class 2D at Madin Assa’idiyyah Malang and to evaluate its effectiveness in improving students' maharah kitabah skills. The research uses a Mixed Method Explanatory Sequential Design with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The research instruments include writing tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed statistically using paired sample t-test and effect size (Cohen’s d). The results show a significant increase in the average pretest score from 37.96 (categorized as less effective) to 66.21 in the posttest (categorized as effective). Statistical tests confirmed a significant difference with a p-value < 0.001 and a very large effect size (Cohen’s d = 6.873). In addition, qualitative findings indicate improvements in students’ motivation, creativity, and idea organization skills. Based on these findings, the mind mapping method is proven effective as a learning strategy for maharah kitabah and is recommended for widespread application in Arabic language education.
