IMPLEMENTASI METODE EKLEKTIK PADA PEMBELAJARA MAHARAH QIRAAH SISWA KELAS IX SMP MODERN AL-RIFAIE MALANG

This research aims to describe the application of the eclectic method in the learning of Mahārah al-Qirā’ah (reading skills) for ninth-grade students at SMP Modern Al-Rifa’i Malang. The background of this research stems from the low interest of students in reading Arabic texts, which is caused by the use of textbooks that tend to be classical and less contextual. This makes it difficult for students to understand the reading content and decreases their interest in reading learning. In this context, the eclectic method is viewed as an appropriate approach to enhance students' reading interest, as it combines various active learning strategies tailored to the needs and characteristics of the learners.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are learning observation, interviews with teachers and students, as well as documentation. Data analysis is conducted through stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, referring to the model of Miles and Huberman.The research results indicate that the application of the three-stage eclectic method: material presentation, understanding and group discussion, reinforcement, and evaluation. Several constraints encountered in the implementation of this method, such as time limitations and other technical factors, pose their own challenges in the learning process. Nevertheless, overall, this method has been proven to enhance the reading interest of students in the ninth grade at SMP Modern Al-Rifa'i Malang.
