Abstract

 

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Mubasyarah method in improving Arabic vocabulary memorization among students at Ma'had Tahfidz Teh Samat Malaysia. The research addresses the problem of ineffective vocabulary retention due to traditional teaching methods lacking interactivity. Positioned as a response to these pedagogical shortcomings, this study applies a quantitative approach using a One-Group Pre-test-Post-test Design. Data were gathered from 34 students through vocabulary tests and perception questionnaires. Statistical analysis with paired sample t-tests revealed a significant improvement in post-test scores (M = 91.76) compared to pre-test scores (M = 78.62), with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Questionnaire results also indicated high levels of student motivation and positive perceptions of the method. The study contributes practical insights into Arabic pedagogy, particularly for Islamic institutions, by affirming the value of direct interaction and contextual repetition in vocabulary acquisition.
