ANALISIS KONTRASTIF ANTARA ISIM TAFDHIL DALAM BAHASA ARAB DAN BAHASA INGGRIS SERTA METODE PENGAJARANYA

This research is based on the importance of mastering more than one language, including Arabic and English, which are increasingly being studied around the world. The purpose of this study is to conduct a contrastive analysis of the structure of Ism Tafdhil (comparative form) in Arabic and Degrees of Comparison in English, as well as their implications for the teaching of morphology (ṣarf). This research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive and library research methods to analyze the comparison of Ism Tafdhil in Arabic and Indonesian sentences. The data are collected from various literary sources, then organized and analyzed through textual analysis. In line with Bogdan and Taylor, this approach yields descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words relevant to observed linguistic behavior.
The results show that: (1) there are similarities between Ism Tafdhil and Degrees of Comparison, such as classification, structure of the comparative and superlative forms, irregular forms, and figurative usage. (2) Significant structural differences include base forms, formation requirements, procedures when formation conditions are unmet, structural patterns, grammatical gender, sentence position, and syllabic dependence. (3) The methods used in teaching these forms are the Dual Language Method and the Grammar Translation Method.
