This research investigates the application of the Qira’ah wa Tarjamah method in teaching Arabic to sixth-grade students at MIS AlMa’arif 08 Singosari Malang, focusing on students' reading skills and comprehension. Motivated by the widespread difficulties among learners in reading Arabic texts fluently and understanding vocabulary, the study aims to explore how this method supports foundational Arabic literacy at the elementary level. Positioned within qualitative descriptive research, the study collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students. The findings reveal that the method, which emphasizes both oral and silent reading followed by translation, significantly enhances students’ reading fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension of Arabic texts. Teachers' preparedness and students’ active engagement emerged as key supporting factors, while limited resources and varying student abilities were notable challenges. This study contributes to Arabic language pedagogy by validating Qira’ah wa Tarjamah as a practical and effective method for fostering reading proficiency and interest among young learners.
