The drama strategy is considered unique in improving Arabic  language mastery. He is not only proficient in conversation, but also in mastering sufficient vocabulary. Speaking skills require students to be active in practicing them, and this is closely related to self-confidence, because speaking requires good and correct practice. This research aims to determine the use of drama strategies in maharah kalam class VIII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah An Nur Bululawang Malang. This research method includes direct interviews, open observation, and documentation. Primary data sources consist of teachers and students, while secondary data is obtained from documents related to learning. Use qualitative data analysis techniques to identify patterns, create narratives, and verify findings through data triangulation. The results showed that the use of drama strategies significantly improved students' speaking skills. Through drama activities, students practice speaking with a wider vocabulary, as well as improving pronunciation and intonation. The advantages of drama strategies include: 1) improving speaking skills, 2) self confidence, 3) creativity, 4) learning apart from being fun and interesting. However, there are several disadvantages: 1) time required, 2) extensive preparation, 3) challenges in classroom management, 4) and some students feel uncomfortable with the drama.
