In the curriculum of schools in Indonesia, Arabic has its own place, especially at the junior high or high school level, this makes Arabic a foreign language that is being studied after English. This study aims to examine the application of picture card media in mastering Arabic vocabulary in seventh grade students of MTs An-Nur Bululawang Malang. Picture card media was chosen because of its ability to increase the interest and effectiveness of Arabic language learning, especially in terms of mastery of vocabulary (mufrodat). This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with field research approach to get in-depth data about the effect of picture card media on students' ability to understand and master Arabic vocabulary. The results showed that the application of picture card media in Arabic learning has increased students' enthusiasm, motivation, and enthusiasm in learning Arabic vocabulary. The learning process using picture card media is carried out through three stages: introduction, core, and closing. In the introduction stage, stimulation is given to create a comfortable learning atmosphere; in the core stage, the recitation of mufrodat is done repeatedly; and in the closing stage, students are given the opportunity to practice vocabulary mastery in turn. The final results showed that the use of picture card media was effective in improving students' vocabulary acquisition results. Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks, such as the tendency of students to rely on the media as the only source of learning and some students have difficulty in pronouncing vocabulary due to shyness or lack of habit. The conclusion of this study is that picture card media, especially in the form of flash cards, can be an effective tool in teaching Arabic vocabulary, with a note that its use must be balanced with learning strategies that support thorough language acquisition
