PENERAPAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN MUFRADAT BAGI SISWA BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS PADA KELAS 4 DAN 5 DI SLB AUTIS LAB UM
Abstract
Education has an important role in a person's life. With education you can determine your direction and future. Even children who have special needs still have a future. Children with special needs are those who have different characteristics from children in general. Those experiencing emotional, physical and mental disorders. Teaching children with special needs requires patience, high dedication, special skills in learning, and a good understanding of child psychology. And you must have a learning initiative, one of which is using image media to explain mufrodat. As is done by the SLB Autism Lab UM, in learning Arabic we use picture media to make it easier to understand mufrodat.
The aim of this research is to analyze how to apply and improve image media for mastering mufrodat and what are the weaknesses and advantages of using image media for students with special needs at the UM Lab Autism SLB. The type and approach of this research is qualitative. This research uses image media to understand students' mastery of mufrodat at the UM Autism Lab SLB. Data collection by means of Observation, Interviews and Documentation.
Based on the results of this research, several things have been found as follows: the application of image media for grades 4 and 5 of SLB Autism Lab UM requires 2 semesters of time to understand mufrodat. However, students understand better than memorize. Mufrodat taught by students with special needs is more difficult to understand if they don't use any media. Increasing the mufrodat of students in grades 4 and 5 of SLB Autism UM was effective because it used image media. There are advantages and disadvantages to using image media to improve comprehension, namely that it is easier to understand and does not make students bored. The disadvantage is that it requires a lot of money and hard thinking to create new innovations.
