INTERVAL APLIKASI BIOSAKA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN SAWI HIJAU (Brassica juncea L), SELADA (Lactuca sativa L) dan KANGKUNG (Ipomoea reptana Poir)
Abstract
Biosaka has the potential to enhance both the quality and quantity of crops. This study aimed to examine the effects of Biosaka and application intervals on plant growth. The research was conducted on agricultural land in Kepuharjo, Karangploso, Malang Regency, situated at an elevation of approximately 540 meters above sea level, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 36°C, annual rainfall of 2,500 mm, and a soil pH of 5–7. A Split-Plot Design (SPD) was employed; the main plots consisted of spraying intervals: P0 (no spraying), P1 (spraying every 4 days), P2 (spraying every 7 days), and P3 (spraying every 10 days). Sub-plots consisted of plant types: T1 (mustard greens), T2 (lettuce), and T3 (water spinach), resulting in 12 combinations replicated three times for a total of 108 experimental units. Observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, total fresh weight, shoot fresh weight, total dry weight, shoot dry weight, chlorophyll content, soluble solids, and vitamin C content. The results indicated that Biosaka application and its frequency significantly influenced leaf area, total plant dry weight, and shoot dry weight. Regarding leaf area at 14, 21, 28, and 35 days after planting (DAP), the P3T1 treatment (spraying every 10 days on mustard greens) yielded the best results. For total plant dry weight and shoot dry weight, the P1T3 treatment (spraying every 4 days on water spinach) produced the highest values.
