Interaksi Antara Frekuensi Penyiraman Dengan Konsentrasi Pupuk Organik Cair Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Anggrek Bulan (phalaenopsis amabilis) Berbasis Smart Farming

Abstract


The moon orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis) is an ornamental plant with high economic value and is Indonesia's national flower, so its cultivation needs to be carried out with appropriate techniques from the seedling stage. The growth of orchid seedlings is greatly influenced by the availability of water and nutrients. This study aims to analyze the effect of the interaction of the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from goat manure and the frequency of watering on the growth of moon orchid seedlings (Phalaenopsis amabilis) based on smart farming. Using factorial RAK with two factors, namely the concentration of POC (10%, 1%, and 0.1%) and the frequency of watering (1, 2, and 3 times per day) every 2 days with 9 treatment combinations and 81 plants. The results showed that the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and the frequency of watering affected the growth of moon orchid seedlings. ANOVA analysis showed a significant interaction in the number of leaves, while leaf area, plant fresh weight, chlorophyll content, and leaf color did not show a significant interaction. The treatment of once-daily watering frequency with a concentration of 0.01% (F1K3) gave results equivalent to several other treatment combinations. However, based on the regression results, the frequency treatment of 3 negative quadratic curves opens downward indicating an optimum point with a low concentration of 4.76% giving optimum results with an average number of leaves of 4.88 pieces, while the F1 treatment shows a positive quadratic pattern with an upward open curve indicating a minimum concentration point meaning that high watering must be accompanied by low nutrient concentrations. Separate treatments show that watering 1x a day and 2x a day gives better results while the concentration treatment shows a concentration of 0.1% and a concentration of 0.01% shows good results. In general, providing liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure can help provide important nutrients for plants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium which support the vegetative growth of orchid plants. In addition, setting the right watering frequency also plays an important role in maintaining water availability and nutrient absorption by plants.
