PENGARUH MACAM MANAJEMEN PEMUPUKAN VERMIKOMPOS DAN PUPUK ANORGANIK TERHADAP KEPADATAN TANAH YANG DITANAMI TIGA VARIETAS TANAMAN PADI
Abstract
Intensive tillage can accelerate the rate of mineralization of organic matter in the soil which has an impact on reducing organic C content, soil compaction, and increasing soil bulk density or decreasing the soil porosity. The existence of soil compaction caused by exploitation activities can affect changes in soil structure and pores. The soil  water content will also change due to soil compaction. It will affect the soil quality. This study aims to determine the effect of vermicompost and inorganic fertilizer management on soil bulk density and soil porosity planted with three varieties of upland rice. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. Factor 1: Varieties of upland rice, V1 = Inpago 8, V2 = Inpago 12, and V3 = Inpago 13 fortiz. Factor 2: Type of fertilization management, P1 = recommended dose of inorganic fertilizer (control), P2 = half the recommended dose of inorganic fertilizer + 2.5 kg/m2 vermicompost, and T3 = organic fertilizer 5 kg/m2 vermicompost + 1 kg/m2 biochar. The results showed that in general, the treatment with a combination of organic fertilizers and full organic fertilizers gave a good effect to soil bulk density with a lower average value and soil porosity with a higher average value compared to the recommended dosage of inorganic fertilizer treatment.
