Abstract

In Indonesia, red spinach is consumed as a vegetable. The high demand for spinach causes this plant to have high economic value. Fertilization is one of the keys to the success of a cultivation activity. This study was conducted to determine the effect of a combination of NPK fertilizer and biological fertilizer treatment to the growth and yield of red spinach plants. In this study using factorial RAK experimental design with controls, consisting of 2 factors, factor 1: N1 = 100 kg ha-1, N2 = 150 kg ha-1, N3 = 200 kg ha-1, N4 = 250 kg ha-1, N5= 300 kg ha-1 and factor 2 : P1= 10 ml/L, P2= 20 ml/L. The results of this study indicate that the combination of pearl NPK fertilizer and biological fertilizers has significant interactions on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, total fresh weight and consumption fresh weight. The best treatment was found in N4P2, namely 250 Kg ha-1 NPK and 20 ml. The application of Pearl NPK fertilizer with a dose of N4 (250 Kg ha1) showed the best average results for various parameters and was significantly different from other treatments. Provision of biological fertilizers at a dose of 20 ml/liter gives the best average for each observation parameter.
